City of Effingham to host bike path workshop

The City of Effingham is kicking off our city-wide bicycle and pedestrian plan with a public brainstorming workshop from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Effingham City Hall.

 

Please bring your ideas for bike routes and better walking conditions throughout town.

 

The workshop’s agenda will include:

  1. Introduction of the bike and pedestrian plan project, including the scope of work.
  2. Description of some types of improvements that may be considered.
  3. Attendees mark up individual maps with their ideas.
  4. Small groups (based on the city’s geographic areas) prioritize and report suggestions.
  5. Next steps – plus how you can stay involved and updated.
