Apply to ride with a patrol officer

Students 18 years of age or older who are interested in the functions of the Effingham Police Department are invited to apply to ride with one of the uniform officers on patrol.

Students must be enrolled in a criminal justice program through university or college.

What to do

Complete the Hold Harmless Agreement below.

Bring the signed, completed application to Effingham Police Department:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

What's next

Upon approval of your application, you will be contacted to:

  • Schedule a time and date for your ride-along
  • Review appropriate attire for your ride-along
