Purchase crash reports
Effingham Police Department uses Quicket, a third-party vendor, for digital crash reporting. Drivers involved in accidents are given the report number at the scene, along with the other drivers' names. Other crash report details including insurance information are available for purchase online.
For accidents which occurred prior to January 1, 2025, please contact Effingham Police Department Records at 217-347-0774 for instructions on how to obtain a copy of your report.
Before you start
You will need the following information to obtain a copy of your crash report:
- Effingham Police Crash Report Number: (i.e.: P23-12345)
- Crash date
- First and last names of one of the driver's
- Debit or credit card
- Accessible email address
What to do
Online
To obtain a copy of your crash report online, go to payquicket.com and follow these step by step instructions:
Step 1:
- State: Illinois
- Department: Effingham
- Click "Submit" button
Step 2:
- Click "View Motorist Report/Purchase Crash Report" button
- Enter the following information:
- Report number
- Crash date
- First and Last names
- Click "Search" button
- Enter your debit or credit card information and email address when prompted
Step 3:
- An email confirmation will be sent to you
- Retrieve the receipt number from the email
Step 4:
- Click "View Motorist Report/Purchase Crash Report" button
- Enter receipt number
Step 5:
- Print crash report; or
- Save crash report as a PDF

What's next
After obtaining your crash report, contact your insurance company and provide them with a copy of your crash report. Your insurance company will be able to assist you further.
