Setback variance
Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Effingham, Illinois, will hold a public hearing on the 25th day of June, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 1st Floor, City Hall, located at 201 East Jefferson Avenue, Effingham, Illinois, at which time and place all interested parties may participate in the Public Hearing by presenting testimony and questions on a petition requesting a Variances to setbacks for an Accessory Building as required in Articles 21 and 22-3.B. in a R-1 Single-Family Residence District in Appendix B of the City of Effingham Municipal Code (Zoning Ordinance No. 44-89), said Variances are:
a. Reduce the required front yard setback along IL 32/33 at the rear of residence to 10 feet from the required 25 feet to allow an Accessory Building to project 15 feet into the required setback along a street.
b. Reduce the required front yard setback along the turn around offset on Thornbird Drive at the rear of residence to 10 feet from the required 25 feet to allow an Accessory Building to project 15 feet into the required setback along a street.
