Entry level firefighter eligibility list testing

The Board of Fire & Police Commissioners of the City of Effingham, Illinois, is currently accepting applications for Entry Level Firefighter Eligibility List Testing.

The current Entry Level Firefighter Eligibility List is effective until October 27, 2024.

Full application packets are available at Effingham City Hall, 201 East Jefferson Avenue, or may be downloaded online. fire application packet 2024 final

The two-day testing dates are Saturday, July 27, 2024 ( Orientation & Written Exam) and Saturday, August 17, 2024 ( Oral Interviews).

Deadline for application submissions is July 12, 2024.

Entry level police new hire eligibility list testing

No applications for Entry Level Police New Hire Eligibility List Testing are being accepted at this time.

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners hires from a two-year eligibility list.

The current list is effective until November of 2025.

Please check back in the summer of 2025 for an application to test for the next eligibility list.
