The City’s Municipal Electrical Aggregate will end in December, 2025. During this year’s bidding process, the City was unable to secure through the aggregate process a lower rate than Ameren. Residents on the City’s aggregate will automatically return to Ameren at a lower rate.  You still have the option to choose an electrical supplier other than Ameren, within two months, although Ameren will remain your provider.

What is the Enterprise Zone property tax abatement incentive

Properties located within the Enterprise Zone boundaries may have a part of its property taxes abated. The portion abated includes the added improvements to the property. This means the abatement amount will be the property tax increment that is created from the improvement. Taxes are not abated on the existing property value.
