Who do I contact if I have water or sewer issues?
If it’s during normal business hours, you can report your issue online. If you have an issue with your water or sewer and it’s after normal business hours, please call (217) 347-5056 for support.
How do I sign up for trash service?
Trash pickup for the City of Effingham is served by private companies. Please contact them directly.
How do I get a carbon monoxide test?
If you think there is a carbon monoxide leak in your home, call 9-1-1. The Effingham Fire Department will be dispatched to test for a leak.
Where is my nearest DMV?
DMV services are available through the Effingham Illinois Secretary of State Facility. Their local office is at 1901 South Fourth Street, Suite 2, across the street from Hendelmeyer Park.
