What are the current contract opportunities with the City?

City departments post bid notices and requests for proposals online. This includes City construction projects, professional services, procurement, and more. We also post bid tabulations that show the companies that bid and the amount proposed.

How do we pay for the services?

All compensation is paid by the applicant directly to the officers who provide the services. The Effingham Police Department will not be responsible for compensation or benefits for any outside employment by an Effingham Police Officer.

How do I request off-duty police services?

Submit a written request to the Police Chief in advance and specify: Requested dates and times Type of service or services needed Number of officers needed per date/time slot Enter into an indemnification agreement prior to approval

How can I get my requested records faster?

Knowing certain details of information you want helps tremendously. If at all possible, include the following in any requests: Police report reference numbers Time of incident Date of incident Location of incident (including apartment numbers) Names of involved persons Telephone numbers of the involved persons Any other pertinent details of the incident

How soon will I receive what I requested?
